### Teemu “Hämis” Hämäläinen – the rock-solid problem solver of IT support
IT friend · since 2017

Teemu Hämäläinen, known to most as Hämis, is the person who makes sure customers' computers are up and running. He is mainly responsible for computer installations, but does much more when needed: supporting users and installing networks, cameras and all kinds of physical devices.

#### A field familiar since childhood
The IT field didn't come as a complete surprise to Hämis – his father and uncle spent their whole careers in it. At first he tried something else, but as he laughs: “The frost drove the piglet back home,” as the Finnish saying goes. The final step towards Developit was taken in 2017, when acquaintances from his youth led to a job – and he has been part of the team ever since.

#### No two days are the same
If you ask Hämis what a typical workday looks like, the answer is easy: there isn't one. “Every day is different – you never know what you'll be facing,” he says. That is exactly what makes the work interesting. The best moments come when a problem that has been nagging for a long time is finally solved: “That moment crowns the whole day.”

#### Master of dad jokes
In his free time, Hämis relaxes at the summer cottage – and even there, working with his hands continues. He enjoys woodworking and has even carved various animal figures with a chainsaw. At the office, he is known for his humour: “Dad jokes are my trademark,” he laughs.

Among colleagues, Hämis has gone by this name for a long time – the nickname is so established that many may not even remember where it came from.

#### Growing every day
Technology changes fast, and over the past year Hämis has learned new PowerShell commands for solving many kinds of problems. To customers he gives simple but important advice: “Good IT support is irreplaceable, but always remember the basics too – try restarting your computer.”

He himself wants to keep developing in every area. “The world keeps changing and you have to keep up,” he notes.

#### The power of community
When you ask what makes Developit exactly the right place, Hämis doesn't hesitate: “Working with friends who are close to your heart is the best part.” According to him, the team is fast, fun and full of great team spirit.

If the office had a jukebox, Hämis would first put on Elastinen's version of the classic “Naurava kulkuri.” The song reflects his attitude well – a twinkle in the eye, good energy and a can-do spirit.

### Janne Lukacsfy – sales specialist and trusted IT support backup
IT friend · since 2018

Janne Lukacsfy is one of the people customers often meet first. At Developit he is responsible for sales, orders and quotes – and spends a lot of time on customer visits. When needed, he also jumps in on the IT support side or joins device installations. “No two workdays are the same, and that's exactly what makes them interesting,” Janne says.

#### Into IT through gaming
Janne's interest in information technology goes back to a childhood hobby: computer gaming. From there, the spark gradually grew into a full career. His path to Developit opened up in 2018 through vocational rehabilitation. “I got a traineeship, and after two weeks I was offered a permanent job. At that point I knew I had found the right place,” he recalls.

#### Sales, customer visits and support requests
Although sales and quotes are a big part of Janne's everyday work, his days include much more: customer meetings, remote support from the office and all kinds of practical tasks. Customer visits are especially dear to him. “They always leave you in a good mood, whatever the situation,” he says.

His first piece of customer feedback made a lasting impression: just three weeks after his traineeship began, the office manager of a large company called the company's founder to say the recruitment had been spot on. “Apparently I was a nice guy – it felt like a really great start to a career,” Janne recalls with a smile.

#### Gamer, listener and joker
In his free time, Janne is happiest at his computer with headphones on. He plays computer games and listens to a lot of podcasts – “nothing fancy, but it's a good counterbalance to work,” he describes.

At the office, Janne is known for his strong sense of humour, which brings lightness to everyday life. He never got a nickname – his wild humour is enough of a trademark.

#### Learning and growing
Lately, Janne has been diving into how artificial intelligence can be used in working life. “It's been interesting to see how it can help in everyday work,” he says. To customers he offers a practical tip: “Always check first that the cables are plugged into the right places.”

He wants to develop his skills especially on the networking side – and steadily in other areas too. “Networking evolves all the time, and I want to keep up with it,” he notes.

#### Relaxed work in good company
If the office had a jukebox, Janne might not pick a song at all – he would put on a comedy podcast instead, most likely Kill Tony. He describes his colleagues in three words: “Relaxed, funny and honest.”

And what makes Developit the right place for him? “The relaxed working atmosphere, absolutely wonderful customers and varied work. This is where I feel at home,” Janne sums up.

### Jesse Salminen – front-line problem solver and everyday IT friend
IT friend · since 2023

Jesse Salminen is what you might call Developit's first-line man. He is the person customers reach first: Jesse answers calls and emails, solves the trickiest technical challenges and does a lot of in-depth investigation. When needed, he serves the whole team as a versatile jack of all trades.

#### From gaming to electronics
Jesse's interest in IT was sparked in his youth through computer gaming. From there the spark quickly spread to the wonderful world of electronics, building his own computers and troubleshooting all kinds of devices.

His journey to Developit began in 2023 through the final work placement of his studies. Jesse spotted the company, decided to apply and completed the placement successfully. After the placement came military service, and in January 2024 he officially joined Developit's permanent ranks.

#### You never know what puzzle awaits
Jesse can't describe a typical workday, because there isn't one. You can never know in advance what kinds of challenges customers will run into. “You can't tell whether the solution will be ‘simple’ or whether it will call for deeper investigation and what you might call swarm intelligence,” Jesse describes.

Lately he has been especially excited about artificial intelligence and its many uses in everyday work. The warm feedback he receives from customers also speaks volumes about his attitude. One customer's words made a lasting impression:

“No need to call anyone else – with you, things always get done so pleasantly and smoothly.”

#### Football and games
In his free time, Jesse clears his head with football and video games, and enjoys sampling good dark beers.

When it comes to tools, Jesse is a pragmatist and doesn't put one app above the rest: “People are adaptable, and something new always comes along.” At the office, however, he has developed a special role and nickname of his own: DJ Jebe steps up whenever someone is needed to change the radio station or the music.

#### Continuous learning every day
His first year in the field has taught him a lot, and Jesse says he learns something new almost every day. His skills have grown from customer service all the way to deeper scripts, configurations and understanding different environments (such as Microsoft, Google and Apple).

For customers, Jesse has one snappy tip: “Always keep your devices and software up to date.”

And where does he want to grow himself? “There's always room to improve in everything,” he laughs with a smile.

#### A one-of-a-kind work community
If the office had a jukebox, Jesse would pick something to match the day's mood from rock, metal and Finnish classics – DJ Jebe style.

He describes his team in three words: “Unique, skilled and full of personality.” And what makes Developit exactly the right place for Jesse? The answer comes down to two things: the variety of the work and a wonderful work community.

### Marko – versatile problem solver and Developit's co-founder
IT friend · since 2008

Marko is one of Developit's founders and a true all-rounder. His work ranges from administrative tasks to serving customers as their IT friend. One day he consults and builds web services, the next he analyses data or solves customers' challenges hands-on. “In practice, the work is versatile problem solving and development for the benefit of our customers,” he sums up.

#### Technology always close to his heart
Marko's path into IT felt natural – technology has always been close to his heart. The field constantly offers opportunities to learn new things and stay at the forefront of development. In 2008, he and Teemu founded Developit because they clearly saw a demand for customer-oriented, flexible IT solutions. “We wanted to do things for the long term and genuinely listen to the customer,” Marko says.

#### From reports to live broadcasts
You will rarely find two days alike. Sometimes Marko installs new services and devices for a customer, other times he builds Power BI reports or organises a livestream production. The day takes its rhythm from what customers and the team need.

Lately, working with artificial intelligence has brought particular excitement. “AI agents and the possibilities of the Power Platform have been truly inspiring. It's great to see how new technologies can genuinely make customers' everyday lives easier,” he says.

For Marko, the best feedback is always a smile on a customer's face: “It's the best thanks there is – a sign that the solution genuinely benefits their work.”

#### Hobbies and passions
When the workday is over, Marko's life is full of other passions too. Japanese cars – especially the Mazda RX-7 – and a Ducati 1198 motorcycle bring a smile to his face. Hi-fi equipment, speaker building, home automation and home cinema are also part of everyday life. And most importantly: time spent with family and friends, and travelling.

At the office, Marko is known for his versatile skills and endless curiosity about new technologies – he is the team's own “Swiss Army knife.” Colleagues call him Makke.

#### Learning new things keeps him moving
Over the past year, Marko has deepened his expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform – Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI have become ever more familiar. Using AI agents in customer work has also been a major learning experience.

To customers he offers a tip that captures the core of his own work: “Choose a partner who masters a wide range of areas and can support you both in consulting and in practical implementation.”

Marko himself wants to keep developing – especially in time management and organising his work. “That way there's enough time both for customers and for learning new things,” he notes.

#### A friendly and skilled team
If the office had a jukebox, Marko would put on Tomorrowland Radio – it brings back memories of the team's annual summer trips to the Tomorrowland festival and unforgettable moments.

When he describes his team, the words come easily: “Skilled, pleasant and friendly.” And what makes Developit exactly the right place? “We have a top team and fantastic customers. The work is varied, every day is different, and it's always nice to come to work in the morning. That combination makes Developit exactly the right place for me.”

### Teemu Stöders – an IT friend with a big heart

When you ask Teemu Stöders what he does at Developit, he laughs: “It's probably easier to say what I don't do.” The company's co-founder is involved in pretty much everything – and that is exactly what makes him a true IT friend to customers and his own team alike.

#### Technology since childhood
Teemu's interest in the field was sparked as a child. His father worked in IT and brought home decommissioned devices for little Teemu to take apart and reassemble. “Everything to do with technology fascinated me. In fact, before starting school I was still considering becoming a chef, but my mother's comment about chefs' working hours made me choose IT – luckily it went that way,” he recalls.

#### The road to entrepreneurship
Starting his own company was on Teemu's mind right after graduating from vocational school. He first joined a consulting company, which soon began offering his expertise to its other partners as well. The turning point came in the summer of 2007, when a tip from his employer's CEO opened up an opportunity: an operation being spun off from a large Finnish corporation needed a complete server environment and workstations for its entire staff, built in a single summer.

Teemu and his colleague Marko spent the whole summer travelling around Finland getting the offices in shape. After the project, the customer asked them for a quote for ongoing support and maintenance as well. So they sat down at the planning table, made an offer to all their customers at the time – and every one of them accepted. That is how Developit was born, carried by courage and customer focus.

#### Half planned, half quick reactions
These days Teemu's work is half planned and half quick reactions to customers' needs. “Ad hoc help is part of the nature of the work. In between, we develop the company's own practices and tools,” he describes.

Teemu lights up whenever a customer's development idea is successfully carried over the finish line. And by Finnish standards, he has gathered quite a lot of praise. One long-time customer summed up their experience like this:

“Teemu is a creative problem solver who listens carefully and asks exactly the right questions so that solutions are found. Communicating with him is easy, and he genuinely wants the best for everyone. You rarely meet an IT professional who has both a twinkle in his eye and the ability to make customers feel important. Good energy fills the room when Teemu arrives. I have had the pleasure of working with Teemu for years, and I wouldn't trade a moment of it.”

#### Hobbies below the surface and on two wheels
In his free time, Teemu relaxes by travelling with his family, and in recent years the trips have gained a new passion: diving. The underwater world offers peace and a completely different perspective on everyday life. “Diving is really like hitting reset – when you're below the surface, the rest of the world fades away,” he describes. The road calls on dry land too, and motorcycling holds its place as another beloved hobby. On the bike, the feeling of freedom meets the joy of discovering new routes.

#### Known for straight talk
At the office, Teemu's trademark is straight talk – he says things as they are, and conversations with him are direct and clear. His nickname is simple and familiar: Teme captures his easygoing nature well.

On the tools side, Teemu is a steadfast supporter of the Apple ecosystem. “I couldn't get by without it,” he says with a laugh – pointing out at the same time that well-functioning tools make everyday life easier both in his own work and when supporting customers.

#### Eyes on the future
Over the past year, Teemu has immersed himself in the possibilities of artificial intelligence and has also trained customers on the topic. He wants to keep growing into an ever better leader who helps his team shine. His tip for customers comes with a smile: “It pays to choose good IT support.”

#### Friends, not just colleagues
Asked to describe his team in three words, Teemu answers: “Exceptional, friends, the best.” According to him, workdays have a very special feel when you are surrounded by people with whom you can genuinely share both successes and challenges.

And what makes Developit exactly the right place? “Life is short and we spend a lot of time at work. It's a big deal that you don't dread waking up for work in the morning.”

If the office had a jukebox, Teemu couldn't pick just one song. Instead, he would put on the “Otetaan iisisti” playlist on Spotify – and let the music set the mood.

### Petra Metsikkö – where creativity meets technology
Creative IT friend · since 2015

When Petra Metsikkö joined the Developit team back in 2015, she had a clear vision: she wanted to combine graphic design and web development under one roof. A test assignment for a customer served as her springboard – and began a journey among the IT friends that has now lasted more than ten years.

Petra makes customers' brands visible both visually and technically. She designs logos, brand identities and brand guidelines, for example, and builds websites – coding them herself when needed. “I don't just design how a site looks; I also think through its structure, usability and functionality,” she describes.

#### Every week teaches something new
Petra smiles when asked about a typical workday. “There really isn't one – and that's the best part. I get to design both brand identities and websites, and because our customers come from very different industries, I learn something new every week and always get to do a wide variety of things.”

Her greatest inspiration always comes at the start of a new project: “When I get a new assignment, ideas and images immediately start spinning in my head. The kickoff phase is always the most creative and exciting moment.”

Petra often receives warm feedback from customers. One recent comment made a lasting impression: “A customer said they are happy to give me free rein, because they trust my professional skill and know that I understand the essence of their brand and can bring it to life.”

#### The tools everyday work relies on
Petra's everyday work revolves around many different applications, but one stands above the rest: Instagram. “That's where I draw inspiration and keep up with trends. In my work, I couldn't imagine being without Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator – they're the everyday tools that give my ideas their visual form.”

#### Cheerleading opened up a new world
Although work takes up a big part of everyday life, Petra also has a surprising hobby that might not be the first thing you'd expect from a graphic designer – cheerleading. “My child competes in cheer, and through that I got interested in the sport myself. I train in the adult competitive team FunShine Cheerleaders Majesty. We have already won two consecutive national championships in our age group! I also serve as the club's vice chair and as team manager for my child's team, so a big part of my free time is spent in the cheer bubble.”

#### Clumsiness as a trademark
At the office, though, Petra's “trademark” isn't cheer moves but clumsiness. “Something is always happening to me,” she laughs. Colleagues also know her by the nickname Pete – perhaps because she is the only woman in a male-dominated crew.

#### Growth and the future
Petra makes sure her skills keep developing. “Lately I have deepened my HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills. I also want to learn more about how AI can work as a tool alongside creativity – not as a replacement, but as an amplifier of ideas and efficiency.”

#### Friendship and team spirit
When Petra explains what makes Developit the right place for her, the answer comes quickly: “Here we're more than just colleagues – we're friends. We go on trips together and spend cottage weekends at the company cottage, and we're there for the important moments in each other's lives, like weddings and birthdays. Over ten years it has been wonderful to watch the Developit kids grow from daycare age into teenagers and adults. We pull together and help each other whenever needed. After remote days it's lovely to come to the office – we laugh a lot, and everyone gets to be themselves. And best of all, lunch is something other than leftovers from the home fridge.”

If the office ever got a jukebox, Petra knows right away which song would play first: Armin van Buuren – This Is What It Feels Like. It also reflects her way of approaching work and life – with full feeling and creative energy.
