# Frequently asked questions
We collected the questions we hear most often. If yours is missing, ask us directly — you'll get a straight answer.

## What does an IT friend mean?
An IT friend is a reliable companion in the digital world: someone who understands the customer's needs, helps navigate the challenges of technology and offers solutions that fit the situation at hand. Just like a good friend, an IT friend is there for you in everyday routines and demanding development projects alike.

## How quickly do I get help when something breaks?
We know a busy day won't wait. We react to support requests without delay so you can get back to your work quickly. Most problems are solved over a remote connection or by phone, and when the situation calls for it, we come to you.

Automated monitoring watches our customers' systems around the clock and raises alerts on anomalies — we often fix things before you notice anything.

## How does IT support pricing work?
We offer two models: hourly billing and a per-user monthly fee. We'll tell you straight which one works out smarter for your company, and you can switch models if your situation changes.

## Do you support Apple devices too?
Yes. Macs, iPhones and iPads get the same support as Windows machines, and our device management covers them too. A significant share of our customers run Apple devices, or a mixed environment where Macs and Windows machines live happily side by side.

## Switching IT partners feels like a big project — is it really?
Switching partners often feels like a bigger project than it is. We handle the transition from your old provider for you: credentials, documentation and devices move over in a controlled way, and work never gets interrupted. All that's left for you is the decision — we agree the practical details with your previous provider.

 Let's look at it together

## Where in Finland do you operate?
Our home turf is Helsinki, but we help remotely and on site all around Finland — and when needed at our customers' offices abroad.

## Do you have a store?
Yes: our IT store serves you at Tankomäenkatu 3 LH 1, 00950 Helsinki, on weekdays from 10 to 16. Devices, accessories, repairs and installations on the spot.

## Does the NIS2 cybersecurity act apply to our company?
The Cybersecurity Act brought the NIS2 obligations to Finland on 8 April 2025, and every organisation has to find out for itself whether it falls within the scope of the law. We find out whether the law applies to your company, help you draw up a risk management framework and put the technical protections in place in the right order.

 Take the three-question NIS2 test

## We still have Windows 10 machines — do they all need replacing?
Not necessarily. The Windows 11 upgrade is free for machines that meet the hardware requirements, and a machine in good condition often serves for a long time yet. The decision should be based on the machine's condition and what it is used for.

 Test: upgrade or replace

## Can devices be acquired through financing?
Yes. Devices can be bought outright or acquired through financing such as leasing. We lay out the options and work out together which one fits your company better.

## Which should we choose: WordPress or a hand-coded site?
We build both WordPress sites and hand-coded ones. We recommend the option that fits your situation. Even when it's the lighter one.

## How do we find out which country our company's data is located in?
We'll find out. We go through the cloud services you use, determine where the data resides and move services to the EU when needed. You also get a written description you can show your customers and your auditor.

## Do you also build company networks and access control?
Yes. We design and build company networks mainly on Ubiquiti's UniFi products, and the same management covers camera surveillance, access control and VPN connections. The system has no per-device licences and no mandatory monthly fees — it is yours.

## How does working with you begin?
Tell us what's on your mind right now. You'll get a straight answer, big or small — we'll go through your situation together and work out where to start.
